I WAS FOOLED! I thought this would be an automatic calendar, presumably battery powered, moving the balls to show the correct date. Unfortunately it is nothing of the sort; there is no battery, no electronics, no automation. The balls must be positioned by hand, and moved every day to the correct day and date. Bearing that in mind, the price seems way too high. Mine is going straight in the bin.
IMPORTANT NOTE: this is NOT the seller's fault: the item is correctly described and no mention is made of the calendar working automatically. The mistake was all mine - I had the wrong expectations.
